As visitors enter the South Conservatory at Brookside Gardens, they are surrounded by hundreds of brilliant live butterflies from North America, Africa and Asia soaring among colorful flowers and going about their business of drinking nectar and looking for others of their kind.
Butterflies are not just fun to look at, they are so much more. Why do butterflies matter? They play a number of roles in the ecosystem. They are pollinators, a food source for other species, and connectors in intricate ecological systems.
Wings of Fancy visitors learn about the amazing metamorphosis of the butterfly, the important role they play in healthy ecosystems, and how to ensure these beautiful insects thrive in our own gardens.
Please see below for important visitor information, group information, opportunities to learn more about butterflies, and ways to become involved in the Exhibit.

Flutter Butterfly Sanctuary user reviews :
I love the butterflies and the graphics are awesome. The sounds of the forest are so relaxing I love it. Since the last update the screen goes crazy and can’t do anything but close out of it completely. I loose what I’m doing at the moment, like catching the petal or bug. Sometimes everything just freezes up and again have to close out of it completely. Please fix this problem. I want to continue to raise my butterflies and can’t wait to see what hatches next.
I think the new update has a bug, for some reason it keeps zooming in and out when I try to navigate, and I can’t press any butterflies, please fix this!!
Last Update December 3, 2018 :
